The GRE General Test
The Graduate Record Examination (GRE) is accepted by graduate schools worldwide and by most business schools. Since September 2023 the test is shorter — just under two hours — with one essay instead of two and no unscored research section.
The GRE measures verbal reasoning, quantitative reasoning and analytical writing. Verbal and Quant are each scored from 130 to 170 in one-point steps; Analytical Writing is scored from 0 to 6 in half-point steps. You can take the test at a centre or at home.
How we teach
Every Wizius programme starts with a diagnostic test. Your faculty reads the result with you, sets a realistic target score, and builds a week-by-week plan around your college deadlines and your working hours. Classes are 1-to-1 or in very small groups, so the lesson moves at your speed rather than the batch average.
Between classes you practise on exam-style questions, sit full-length timed mocks, and review every mistake with your mentor. We track accuracy and timing by topic so the plan keeps shifting towards the areas that still cost you marks.
Exam format, section by section
Analytical Writing
One “Analyze an Issue” task in 30 minutes. You take a position on a statement and support it with reasons and examples.
Verbal Reasoning
Two sections (12 questions in 18 minutes, then 15 questions in 23 minutes): text completion, sentence equivalence and reading comprehension. The second section adapts to how you did in the first.
Quantitative Reasoning
Two sections (12 questions in 21 minutes, then 15 questions in 26 minutes): arithmetic, algebra, geometry and data analysis, with quantitative comparison questions. An on-screen calculator is provided.
